Black Wings

Bursting forth
these sorrows are endless
they flow like a river into my soul
it seeps in
it takes over me
these black wings loom over me now
each feather another heartache
i am the keeper of sadness
the keeper of pained love
when the hurt and love begins
i free myself only to hurt again
vicious cycle of these black wings
leave me bleeding and lifeness
yet oly yearning for more.
your touch:
it soothes, it burns,
but it's everything to me.
you gave these black wings to me
gave me the prison of freedom, your love
please let these black wings take flight
let them guide me away from misery.
this black feather you've given me...
only you can make it soar.
